Mibanco directors attend Harvard University program From April 5th to 10th, 2010, Alfredo Llosa Barber -Grupo ACP’s vicepresident, Connecta president and member of Mibanco and other Grupo ACP companies’ board- and together with Hugo Santa María, Mibanco director and managing partner for economic studies at Apoyo Consultoría-attended Harvard University’s "V Program on Strategic Leadership for Microfinance in Boston", Massachussets. Over 70 senior executives from Africa, Asia and Latin America attended the training program.
The program reviewed the business experience of several leading microfinance companies and institutions. “Mibanco’s case was followed with special interest by all participants, both because of its track record as well as the reasons behind its success,” said Llosa Barber.
Targeting leading executives committed to developing the microfinance industry worldwide, the Program on Strategic Leadership for Microfinance is organized annually by Harvard Business School and ACCION International.
