Microfin joins the "Productive Development Microfinance Program" Microfin, Uruguay’s microfinance leader, is now eligible for a US$ 40,000 non-reimbursable contribution to develop new products and explore new markets in Uruguay’s interior.
Microfin will have access to the fund through an agreement signed with the Office for Planning and Budget, a Uruguayan Executive Branch agency, included in the Productive Development Microfinance Program (PMDP, in Spanish.)
Since its inception in September 2008, PMDP has encouraged the growth of a sustainable microfinance market in Uruguay with support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB.) |
