BancoSol launches time loans and deposits drive As the 2010 South Africa World Cup approaches, BancoSol –Bolivia's microfinance leader- launched a campaign to raffle one hundred 32" TV sets among new borrowers
In addition, BancoSol will pay the cable television subscription during the South Africa 2010 World Cup for winning clients not yet connected to pay TV services.
"Our campaign is not only great for our clients but also recognizes the loyalty of entrepreneurs who decided to grow personally and business-wise together with BancoSol," said Kurt Koenigsfest, the bank’s CEO.
Also, to encourage time deposits, BancoSol now pays Bolivian mothers a higher rate for their term deposits in "Bolivianos"”, the local currency. Homemakers who choose to invest their savings in these accounts will earn 1% above BancoSol’s rates.
