With over 21 years experience, CEAPE - MA is northeastern Brazil's most important civil society organization devoted to financial mainstreaming of citizens lacking access to conventional credit sources. CEAPE - MA is the leading non-profit organization in promoting social and economic growth of scarce resource microenterprise and small business owners.
To date, CEAPE - MA has enrolled over 22,000 active clients and provided loans to over 375,000 enterprise initiatives for a total of 425 million reais, or more than US$240 million. Its operations have directly benefitted more than 884,000 people.
CEAPE - MA has approximately 170 officials distributed in its 46 branches in 126 municipalities in Brazil's Maranao state.
